Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy had once called Raghuram Rajan a failed Governor of India’s central bank. After Swamy’s remark, people from both sides of the political spectrum indulged in verbal arguments. The arguments were presented with facts and statistics that were largely in line with the Swamy’s stand.

Swamy, in his attack on Raghuram Rajan, also said, “He (Raghuram Rajan) had joined hands with P Chidambaram in altering the gold policy. He was responsible for the frauds involving Nirav Modi and Mehul Chowksi. I will ask the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe him next time he comes to India”. Raghuram Rajan has remained clueless about almost all the financial frauds that happened during his tenure. Raghuram Rajan had said that the central bank had no clue about the Rs. 13,600-crore Punjab National Bank scam, and that the RBI could have stopped the scam to happen had it known about it prior.
During Modi’s government, when economy is actually flourishing, Raghuram Rajan has predicted inflation and, fortunately, he has been proven absolutely wrong.
Not once, not twice, but Raghuram Rajan has predicted economic slowdown five times and his predictions have been more vague than those of an astrologer.

In 80:20 Gold scheme, a scheme which UPA government introduced 5 days before it officially demitted the office, jewellery industry had warned Raghuram Rajan about the scheme. It’s the same scheme that eventually lead to the PNB account, in which Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi are accused for. The India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) in its letter to Raghuram Rajan wrote “make a prudent appraisal” of the decision and “check the loopholes before it was too late”.

https://www.news18.com/news/business/pnb-scam-jewellery-industry-had-warned-raghuram-rajan-about-8020-gold-scheme-1682253.html

Raghuram Rajan has shown his incompetency multiple times, from red flagging Mudra loan, where more than 98% of the loans disbursed are getting repaid, to calling Nyay scheme doable, where the Congress proposes free distribution of ₹3.6 lakh crore. Is giving free loans worser than giving free money? Even a class 5th student can answer this? Then why’s a highly qualified economist like Raghuram Rajan supporting a scheme that can wreck India’s economy? Is there some ulterior motive?

Previously, Raghuram Rajan opposed Jan Dhan Yojna too, in which millions of poor got their bank account. However, it is now widely known that Jan Dhan Yojna was arguably the biggest financial inclusion scheme that empowered poor and saved thousands of crores of the government’s money.

When partition had happened in 1947 by ‘two-nation theory’, everyone thought that at least hereafter, the plight of Hindus in India will be less miserable after having *burn burnt* of Islamic rule over 1000 years. But unfortunately, that’s not the case. Kashmiri Pandits who are living in exile in their own country is its biggest proof. Some other reasons:

1) Kidnapping of minor girls:

In the month of March only, 13 Hindu minor girls have been kidnapped and forcefully got married to Muslim old-aged men in Pakistan. There’s no law in Pakistan to stop this, so indirectly we can say these are state-sponsored incidents.

But, is the situation in India any different?
In India, if a Muslim man converts a 14-year-old Hindu minor girl to Islam, marries/rapes her, he is not guilty of any crime because as per Indian law, the girl is a Muslim and her marriage now falls under Sharia Islamic law. And as per Sharia, a 14-year-old girl is not minor. Thus, our state also, in a way, promotes forceful conversions.

Why the condition of Hindus in India is as bad as those in Pakistan: 5 points

2) Conversions:

Rampant conversions are happening all over India. Similar to Pakistan, the percentage of Hindu population is decreasing drastically in many states of India.

There’s a need to repeal FCRA Act completely and ban all foreign money inflow through FCRA, except for the funds from OCIs, and end interference of foreign governments in our country.

3) No control over education:

Via Right to Education Act (2009), freedom of majority (read Hindu)-run schools restricted. As government is not reimbursing payment to such schools on time and applying many harsh conditions time to time, they are closing one by one. Not to talk about distortion of history in school syllabi in favour of cruel Muslim rulers. While various governments in India are funding Madrasas, there isn’t any provision of vedic pathshalas or anything related to preservation and propagation of Hindu (native Indian) literature, arts, dance forms, culture and traditions.

4) No control over temples:

Many of ancient temples have been destroyed to ruins or have been converted to mosques in Pakistan. However, in India also, Hindus have no control over temples or their incomes. Most of the temple land, in many of the cases, is either encroached by Mosques or their funds have been diverted to the welfare of minority communities. Moreover, not to talk about the status of proposed Ram Mandir despite all the proofs given by the archeologists that temple existed their before it had been demolished by Babar.

5) Discrimination in various welfare schemes:

Hindus face discrimination in welfare schemes as they are not eligible for minority-centred schemes and scholarships even in states where Hindus are in minority. State-funded central universities such as Jamia Islamia and AMU have minority quota but no reservations for backward castes. Illegal Rohingyas and Bangladeshis get ration cards and voting cards, but persecuted Hindus who came as refugees are being sent back from India.

Welcome Rahul Roushan to HMP News! Pleasure to have you with us, and we thank you for giving your valuable time for this interview.

My pleasure!

We have tried our best to keep questions short and sweet.

Even more pleasure!

Your main point is that India is witnessing demographic change at a rapid pace and that Hindus should become more aware about future challenges. What do we need to do in real life to address this issue (apart from outraging on Twitter)?

That’s not exactly my main point. My commentary covers, and on occasions deliberately not covers, various issues. However, demography is one of the truths and challenges I want people to be aware of. Truth, because I see people repeating the phrase that ‘India is 80% Hindu’, which is factually incorrect even if we take 2011 census data, where Hindus comprised less than 80% of Indian population. In a couple of years, we’ll have another census and this percentage will further dip. By the way, this is official data, and there is a belief that many who have converted, especially to Christianity, enumerate themselves as Hindus in government records so that they can continue to take benefits like reservations for SCs, for only Indic religions qualify for it. Therefore, the actual percentage is lower.

Furthermore, for all practical purposes, this percentage only reflects numerical strength of people who have Hindu names, and they don’t necessarily have a sense of belonging to the religion or culture. Not many actively opt to list themselves as ‘no religion’ or ‘others’. Thirdly, very aggressively in name of ‘alternative history’ and such, various narratives are being peddled, under effect of which you don’t only cease to feel a part of the Hindu society, but you actually start hating it and work to destroy it. This ranges from woke liberalism to acerbic Periyarism with many shades in between.

So the actual percentage of people who would assertively identify themselves as Hindu in cultural or religious sense will be far less. I will put it around 70% and I’m being optimistic.

However, the real challenge is not weakening numerical strength, but mainstreaming and acceptance of narratives where your mere existence is hated. And I’m not even talking about narratives or ideologies like Islamism, which is easier to identify, and post 9/11, their PR has sunk. But other insidious and hateful ideologies, which are no better than Islamism except that they have not yet raised armed groups – actually they have in form of Naxals – and which masquerade as voice of the voiceless. They have amazing PR and their bigotry has become institutionalized and intellectualized.

The subterfuge adopted by most of these ideologies is to try to brainwash you that everything Hindu is basically ‘Brahmin’. The attempt is to seed the idea, subconsciously, that Hinduism is basically an imperialist ‘impot’ of Brahmins and all non-Brahmins should get rid of it. The ‘Brahmanvaad se aazaadi’ is that war cry. This is why they latch on to any caste-based stuff, however illogical and stupid it might be, say, Hardik Patel. They have invented ‘Brahminism’ and camouflage their Hinduphobia that way. This is a huge challenge that not many realize. We are essentially looking at cultural genocide and far from battling it, we are enabling it.

While there is no doubt that caste-based inequalities and injustice are something Hindus can hardly be proud of, but don’t get guilt-tripped by this and buy every shit being dished out in name of criticism of ‘Brahminism’.

I’ll give just one thumb rule. Take any statement by so-called liberals and ‘intellectuals’ that has Brahmins or Brahminism in it. Replace ‘Brahmins’ with ‘Muslims’ and ‘Brahminism’ with ‘Islam’ – will the resultant statement be acceptable to that ‘liberal’ or will it be declared a bigotry or hate speech? Do what the ‘liberal’ would do in such cases 😉

So far as your question about what should we be doing about it apart from outraging – which actually I just might have suggested in the above paragraph as liberals at pro at outraging – the first thing to do is to be aware and read. Don’t necessarily read just tweets of likes of me, but read books. Books of Sita Ram Goel for example, which have been carefully hidden from you and maligned by the ‘ecosystem’. Honestly, even I have not read much, but when you read, you realize that you could have saved so much time reinventing the wheel. We are facing the same challenges since decades and we have done zilch about it. The first step is awareness.

When we try to create awareness among Hindus about the rising threat of Islam, narratives may peek in saying that we are alienating good Muslims in this process. What is your take on this?

Well, you may find it shocking coming from me because of my Twitter persona, but I don’t consider ‘Islam’ as the primary threat. I have just used your term, though I would qualify it as ‘political Islam’ which is the problem rather than the religion itself, to which someone like APJ Abdul Kalam or Bismillah Khan also belonged. I am hardly politically correct and I have even said that Islam in itself has some inherent problems. but still, the real challenges come from the more insidious narratives trying to destroy you from within, and not from Islam.

Consider an Islamist like a mad man throwing stones at your concrete house, while you have someone living inside your house who regularly paints that mad man as poor person who needs love and care, and who regularly sweet poisons your food in moderate amount to accelerate your death. For me, that person inside my house is the bigger threat. We are not yet so weak that the mad man is going to overrun us. Yet.

And yes, this issue of alienating ‘good Muslims’ is a tricky one. India indeed had a different version of Islam but a very radical version of Islam has been replacing it for some decades now. Even the educated ones among them find this version more attractive, say that Wire journalist who went all out saying Bharat Mata Ki Jai is communal. The educated among them actually appear even more radicalized. Obviously the ‘liberals’ pin it as if it’s all due to Babri, but truth is something else. This radical version of Islam has raised its head globally and we can not defeat it by talking sweet in politically correct language or worse, by sweeping the issue under the carpet of Babri.

The great ‘liberal’s themselves kept averring that down south, unlike in “cow-belt”, everything is hunky dory. Some of them are also now waking up to the fact how Kerala has far more burqa clad women now and the situation is changing. Radical Islamist outfits like PFI has grown and killed people for blasphemy. Guys have gone joined ISIS. Only recently a Tamil Nadu activist was killed by Islamic radicals. Many ‘liberals’ are so shameless that they will still blame it all on Babri and RSS, but the truth is that yes, there are some inherent problems with Islam, which forms the basis of Islamism. We need to be aware of it and talk about it without caring much about how it might hurt someone’s sentiments.

But I still have some old romance alive that Kalam’s or Bismillah Khan’s Islam can still exist and co-exist.

SwarajyaMag columnists are always restless that Modi’s term is ending, but he hasn’t done anything meaningful for Hindutva. Whereas Opindia columnists are more like ‘Keep calm & trust Modi’

This is all mahaul about Swarajya vs OpIndia. Give me data and then I will respond!

So far as my personal belief is concerned, yes, Modi government hasn’t done quite a lot for Hindutva policy wise, and that criticism is fair. So, you see, I actually might sound more like Swarajya here as per you! In fact, to shock you more, but temporarily, I would say that I don’t even believe in ‘Keep calm & trust Modi’.

I believe in “Run for your life & support Modi!”. He is the last hope. If 2019 is gone, a civilizational war will be lost. Not just a battle that comes every 5th year, the war will be lost.

a) Are you satisfied with what Modi has done in this regard?

You mean in term of strengthening Hindutva? Well, Hindutva itself has various aspects and there are various issues begging attention. A common criticism is that poison (the sweet poison that I talked about earlier) in education sector has not been removed and no major ‘detoxification’ (ironically Congress uses this term when they undo any steps taken by any previous BJP government) has happened, and yes, that’s unfortunately true.

However, I am not too worried about that because thanks to Congress rules since independence, our education is so fucked up that no education policy will work wonders so soon. Lol. They might write ‘secular’ shit in textbooks but not many are actually reading them! Students are just mugging it up to get good grades, not to get some ‘education’. Look at ourselves, we also grew up in the same education system but we could salvage ourselves, and this is where awareness becomes important. Nonetheless, this is no excuse for not being aggressive on the cultural issues in the education sector.

However, for any ideology to succeed, you first need to have the confidence that you are here for a long run. Murli Manohar Joshi took some steps in education sector under Vajpayee government and all was undone in 5 years. So winning elections matter. If you want a Hardik Pandya to hit sixes like crazy, he needs to have confidence and assurance that he won’t be dropped from the team if he fails once or worse, he will be kicked out of team because he said some shit on some chat show.

Hindutva supporters on social media need to realize that getting electoral muscle is very important. Look at ‘Gau Raksha sammelan’ and such things being organized by new Congress governments in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. There is now a growing sense that Hindutva projects can’t be treated as anathema as armchair ‘liberal’s want to do, and this is the biggest service BJP under Modi has done – being unapologetic about their beliefs. Policy wise not much might have been done, but politics wise, a lot has been done. One more term to Modi, and things will change even more.

b) Do you think Swarajyamag & Opindia are complementing well in this regard?

I don’t think I understand the question. We are two independent organizations but share many common beliefs and ideals. There are no pre-planned roles for either of the organizations and we don’t strategize jointly. How we are fitting – in course of our operations, not as part of some grand plan designed by someone – into overall scheme of things is for the readers to decide and give feedback. I’ll be blunt and say that not all of them could be implemented as at the end of the day there is a real business to run and that becomes the primary concern. As individuals of course, different people have different priorities. Say for me, as an individual, I try my best to make sure I contribute to the ideological battle. Many others do too.

As per our information, unlike Left/Congress, BJP doesn’t fund any pro-RW/nationalist news portals. What’s your comment on this?

Apart from National Herald, Congress has not ‘officially’ funded any portals. Their leaders in individual capacities have invested in likes of Tehelka, NDTV, that Marathi media org where that guy Nikhil Wagle worked, and so on and so forth. Latest example obviously is of Kapil Sibal backed TV channel where Barkha Dutt has a show. Nothing stops BJP leaders from similarly supporting any organization they like and I’m sure some are doing it too. Yes, the scale would be hugely imbalanced for sure with quantum of support available to the ‘other side’ vs ‘our side’.

What RW however needs to realize is that it’s not a party’s sole responsibility to create such an ‘ecosystem’. When we talk about Congress ecosystem, it is important to realize that it is not that they created it after independence, they inherited it. The ecosystem was already structured and nurtured by the British. It’s a very rich – figuratively and literally – ecosystem, and one needs to learn the ‘best practices’ it adopts.

So, yes, the party needs to observe and learn from how the Congress supports the ecosystem. And the ‘RW’ also needs to observe and learn. It will be foolish to think that all of those on the other side are surviving on Congress money. Just like very stupid journalist thinks every pro-BJP or pro-Hindutva twitter account is part of BJP IT cell, we shouldn’t similarly think that everyone is getting money from Congress. That’s not an ecosystem actually, that’s a syndicate.

You need an ecosystem. You need to support each other and be accommodative. And I think people have started realizing it, especially the former one. I was never bullish when people used to tell me to accept payments from common public on OpIndia. But people have been supporting us since we launched voluntary payments a few weeks back. The quantum is decent, even though it doesn’t meet our expenses big way, but at least there is a beginning.

We are curious to know your hobbies, favourite past time.

Favorite pastime is doing nothing with some good music on. Hobby is stamp collection. No, obviously not. Hobbies include many things like randomly reading on some issues and trends, travel (this one I picked up after marriage), and watching absolutely useless movies like Tarzan The Wonder Car.

Which is more closer to your heart – Opindia or Faking News?

Right now, my t-shirt.

Alleged fact checker & fake news peddler Alt News recently did a fact check of a fake pic posted by Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi (famous for her negative work in the field of mathematics) which was rather shocking seeing their love for Congress.

In order to impress, the newly appointed Congress secretary Priyanka Vadra, Priyanka Chaturvedi posted a fake pic, claiming huge crowd at the rally. The pic was taken from a rally which happened last week in Telangana. Priyanka Chaturvedi’s blatant lie was immediately exposed by various twitter users, forcing her to delete her tweet.

Twitter users also asked the alleged fact checkers to publish an article, which they did but not without showing their love for congress, or maybe their employer. In an attempt to do fact checking, fake news account AltNews tired to make the mistake of Priyanka Chaturvedi look innocent. But like always, HMP busted the propaganda of Alt News within the minutes of AltNews article going live.

Fake News Peddler AltNews founders try to spread fake news, get schooled by HMPians.

In the article Prateek Sinha had tried to pass off this deliberate promotion as human error by saying ‘Boards with South Indian language is not unusual in Lucknow’, a lie so blatant that even a kid would catch but the fault news decided to be rather shameless.

After a lot of backlash & insults Prateek Sinha reacted to the tweet by our volunteer & said that it was a typo & they have corrected the typo which again was a lie as the article wasn’t edited & only after he got some more dose of insult is when he edited the story.

The serious question which arises from the above incident is that where’s the donation that the alleged fake news AltNews is getting is being utilized? Certainly not in a constructive ways. If you donate and the donated money is used for wrong purposes then you are equally guilty.

Welcome our beloved ‘Gareebon ka Economist’ Ashu Muglikar to @HMP_News! We thank you for giving your valuable time for this interview.

1) We guess there is not even a single tweet by you that could qualify as non-factual. All your predictions also come true. Whom do you want to give credit for such accuracy and clarity of concepts. Any mentor or book?

Thanks for noticing that. Since I joined twitter I have tried to speak only regarding subjects that I am aware of, which are economics, tax, finance, corporate laws and policy. I do a lot of research before I arrive at my opinions and usually you will see facts on my timeline. Based on these facts, I draw conclusions and form opinions. Because I have studied my topics and have been trained in these, usually my predictions do come true. If I were to credit someone for this, then definitely my teachers who taught me these things and real-world practical problems that I deal with, because professionally I work on these topics. So real world is my teacher too.

2) When there are journalists who like to tweet on every matter under the sun, you have restricted yourself to policy, financial, economical and, by far, judicial matters only. How do you able to avoid the urge to comment on other matters?

Twitter is a curated information medium. People get to choose what they want to see. What journalists do is they project themselves as expert of everything under the sun, but the truth is they are nothing more than gas. Usually, they have no technical degree too, which leads to extreme opinions. And you too might be aware that they have been caught thousands of times peddling fake news. So I dont think I ever wanted to or want to become a garbage spewing machine. This fact that I want to educate people on complex matters in a language they understand is what drives me. I believe if you can’t explain it, you dont know it. If you ask me how do I restrict myself commenting on matters other than those listed by you, it’s a simple rule: “if you dont know, then shut up”. However in rare events, I have, in the past, spoken about stuff that is of my interest but not necessarily an expertise. That’s the human side of me. However, I ensure I don’t pass judgments or speak with authority on it, unlike journos.

3) You may like to tell us about social work you are doing in Arunachal Pradesh and elsewhere?

Again, pretty good to know that you guys at HMP noticed a part of my work that I do offline. Roing is a district headquarters of Lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal. It’s pretty beautiful place and blessed with natural wealth. The problem there is that the youth indulges in drugs and other societal ill wills. Despite there being immense scope to set up companies in tourism, agriculture and service sectors. It has been sometime that me and three other friends work in that region to help the youth to set up their companies, design and develop products using local raw materials, use their traditional knowledge to come up with stuff that is in demand in other markets and help make a livelihood. Things are shaping up pretty well and our start-up incubation center is working full fledged there.

Apart from the aforementioned things, I do a lot of work in my home state of Maharashtra as well, to use my skills to help society at large. I am pretty shy when it comes to talking about that. So, I would not want to say it myself. But I shall work in such a manner that eventually you guys will know. Work will speak.

4) The government has implemented some suggestions you had given related to taxation. Pls tell us more about it.

It would be an exaggeration if I credit myself for that. No. I am sure they might have already thought of it or might have heard from others “too” and decided to implement it. Entire credit goes to them for being so hands-on and flexible in matters of policy. However, there is one matter where I feel my suggestion was definitely “noticed” was the ‘Early Warning System to detect financial frauds’ – a policy document that I had shared long ago and late last year, the news came that the government is working on those lines. That gave me immense happiness. I think if you present a logical reasoning, make predictions based on facts considering short- as well as long-term and suggest something to government, then they will definitely hear you at the least and even implement if it’s good.

5) You are doing unparalleled work on Twitter to increase awareness about the work done by the Modi government. How difficult or easy you find to increase same awareness in your relatives, friends, neighbours?

It’s pretty difficult. We all are very busy in our day-to-day chores. And finding relevant information and time to understand things is all the more difficult. Attention spans are low and reading lengthy stuff these days is rare. I feel that’s why Twitter is still a bit relevant. You can tell about something in a short message. To address this, I will be coming up with short videos as well.

6) Taxation, however simplified it is, remains a daunting task for anyone who’s not from this field, and it leads to failing of tax filing unknowingly. How do you think this issue should be addressed?

Yes, for a commoner, these things were/are pretty difficult to understand. Look at it this way: is your IT return calculation and filing easier than it was in 2010? Most people will say yes. The logic is that any system “progressively elaborates” and it improves over a period of time. In fact, you would be surprised to note that there are still hundreds of things that need to be worked upon. Hence, IT major Infosys will be developing the next-generation income-tax filing system for Rs 4,241.97 crore, which will cut down the processing time for returns to one day from 63 days and expedite refunds and make it simpler for people. This contract was awarded recently by the Modi government. Coming times will be exciting and I hope in next term of this government, they also bring the direct tax code out, which should address all your issues.

7) Interim budget is going to be announced on 1st Feb. Considering you have always been on point with your predictions, what are your predictions for this?

This is going to be an interim budget. So, I am not too sure if government will be able to bring any “dramatic” changes. If I were to predict what’s in store, then maybe I feel the government will continue with what they did in earlier budgets. Based on that I feel, the government will do the following:

1. For the welfare of farmers and doubling farmers’ income by 2022, they will allocate some extra funds for insurance, interest subvention, funds for cold storage, fisheries and processing units for exports and access to credit for small farmers. I feel they will allocate more funds for rural infra i.e. irrigation, power, housing and roads.
2. For healthcare, I think more budget under Ayushman Bharat will be allocated.
3. Budgetary support for infra and railway sectors will be given. The government will commit more funds for this. We are having great tax collection numbers. This means, more money for bharatmala, airports, smart cities, etc.
4. For middle class, I feel the government will increase the basic exemption limits and give tax reliefs. This will be in line with slow and steady increase in last 4 years.
5. Finally, (I feel, although not sure) the government will come up with some sort of scheme for basic income for farmers and urban poor. Not sure though.

8) Any words for HMP News?

Keep doing what you do and ignore haters. 😉 Thank you for speaking with me.

Over the past few days the #10YearChallenge meme on social media prompted people to post their 2009 selfies alongside their 2019 ones. Taking that theme, Shekhar Gupta run ThePrint published an article named ‘This #10YearChallenge should make India feel shame’, authored by some Nitin Pai.

Anyways with past record of spreading fake news & writing just pessimistic op-eds, not much else was expected from The Print. They started with positive figures :

-An average, an Indian earned around $1250 in the year 2009. Today they earn around $2,000.
-Every third Indian was living below the poverty line a decade ago. Today, that number is lower than one in five.
-The number of internet users in the country has grown 10 times, from around 50 million in 2009 to around 500 million.

But in whole next part of article, The Print prefered narritive over facts to show India in poor light with respect to what it was 10-20 years ago.

The Print: Rural distress hasn’t changed much

-In our last article, ‘HMP News answers The Wire’s 15 Questions on behind of PM’ we had explained in detail that Rural distress is myth. In past 5 Years, Rural India Outpaced Urban spending by the widest margin. According to the report by Nielsen, consumption in rural areas grew 9.7 percent in the last fiscal year. Rural spending had outpaced urban growth last year by less than half a percentage point. Rural revenue for the FMCG industry is likely to grow by 15 to 16 percent in the current fiscal year. Growth from urban areas, however, is expected to remain steady, an expert said.

The Print: Our cities haven’t improved either. There is more traffic on the same old roads as more people can afford cars and are forced to use them because public transport is in bad shape.

-2 weeks ago, Wall Street Journal had done detailed article on how infrastructure work is going on in all major cities in India at mammoth scale despite contrains like space.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/through-monsoons-around-slums-under-templesmumbai-builds-its-first-subway-11546803877

All over India, 200 road projects worth about Rs 1.5 lakh crore likely to be completed by mid-2019

HMP News' Rebuttal to The Print: This #10YearChallenge should make India feel proud, not shame

In October, the government approved the Rs 6.92 lakh crore 24,800 km Bharatmala project, which includes development of highways running through economic corridors, border and coastal areas and expressways, with completion deadline of 2022.

Manish Agarwal, (infrastructure practice) at consulting firm PwC India says, “The initiatives that the government took in the last three-and-a-half years are now showing result with work on stalled projects getting fast tracked,” .

The Print: Narendra Modi carried out more government schemes, more allocations, more programmes. No structural reforms, no quantum leap.

– It’s duty of government to carry more government schemes, do more programs, do more allocations. What’s problem author does have here here?!

On reforms part, GST was biggest reform rolled by government which was stuck from last 15+ years.

As explained by Gareebon ka Economist’ Ashu Muglikar ‘n’ no. of times, other economic reform Demonetisation helped to achieve a Tax to GDP ratio of 5.98% and a PIBF of 2.20 in FY 2017-18. Direct Tax to GDP ratio has shown an increase, but the biggest growth is seen in the buoyancy Factors. Even Ratan Tata has applauded Economic reforms of government including Demonetisation

HMP News' Rebuttal to The Print: This #10YearChallenge should make India feel proud, not shame

On disinvestment front, according to DIPAM, 58 per cent of the total divestment proceeds since the liberalisation of 1991, were earned under the present NDA government. This is more than twice the divestment target achieved under the successive UPA governments spread over ten years.

The Print: So in 2019, we are back to farm loan waivers, increased allocations under NREGA, demands for ‘special status’ and new quotas and reservations. Not just that, growing mobilisation of Indians for building a Ram Temple at Ayodhya reminds us of 1989.

– Ram Temple at Ayodhya issue has been pending in courts since 1854. If author wants to say, India has changed but Indian Courts haven’t over the years then we all agree with him. But blaming common masses for this is plain ridiculous. Author also showed his anti-Hindu bias here, because he only mentioned Ram Janmabhumi movement but categorically omitted Namazis occupying public spaces & Catholic bodies demading relaxation in environmental laws so that they can grab lands from tribals.

On Reservations part, even USA has its affirmative actions and actually Quota for Economic backward communities is some kind of reform than a step backwards. If reservations are indeed bad, why The Print actually doing only pro-reservations articles/coverage, We couldn’t a single Anti-reservation article in their timeline

MNREGA scheme has been relaunched in some kind with more quality works are produced and ghost employee cards has been deleted via Aadhar. Farm waivers are definitely not progressive moves but viz a viz Farm waivers happened in 2008, in recent times at least technology has helped omitting fake farmer entries & which benefited real farmers.

Unlike in other points, Author knowingly not conpared BJP-Congress rule here because he knows that BJP ruled state governments has been proved effective in farm waivers, whereas in Congress ruled Karnataka only 800 farmers benefited despite expenditure of Rs.45,000 crores.

ThePrint: The Hindu’s N. Ram exposed the Bofors scandal then. Last week, the same N. Ram made new revelations about the Rafale scandal.

– Rafale scam myth was done & dusted through recent Supreme Court judgement. Defense expert Abhijit Iyer-Mitra has already busted this shallow story of N.Ram on Rafale

So, It was just lame attempt by The Print author to monkey-balance Bofors to Rafale.

The Print: Arun Shourie was on a crusade against tyranny then; he’s on one now. And, in 2019, we have a constellation of regional leaders holding hands in massive political rallies. In many ways, it’s 1989 all over again.

– Again it’s not clear what’s The Print author trying to say here. Then Arun Shourie was on crusade against radical Islam, Conversion Mafias, etc. Now he’s on a crusade against matters where Hon’ble Supreme Court has already given a clean chit.

Regional leaders holding hands in massive political rallies is symbol of Democracy of still vibrant in India. Actually by giving clear mandate in 2014 & subsequent state elections, voters of India showed sign of increased maturity viz a viz coalition government we were getting over the years.

The Print: we’ve even given up holding the government accountable.

– Election are still happening every 5 years, how can one say ‘We’ve even given up holding the government accountable.’!

The Print: cows take up so much of our collective bandwidth and business houses can still twist government policies in their favour.

– Any Op-ed of The Print doesn’t go without ‘cow’ word.
It has been already proved that Cow related violences are happening because Law enforcement authorities are unable to control cow thives in first place. One reason is lack of Police Reforms, where Police are afraid of catching criminals if they are from ‘minority’ communities .

The Print: We should keep our expectations high, and not be fooled into settling for less.

-Who has stopped anyone to keep expectations high from government! But as author seeked everything utopian, did he offered any plans to achieve it? No!

The Print: Economic growth is necessary, but what we do with the additional resources it puts in our hands is more important. The economy continues to grow but India hasn’t changed.

– In this whole article author of The Print article keeps repeating though Economy, Infrastructure, Poverty reduction figures are positive, but India hasn’t changed, India hasn’t changed..

Also, It’s irony that The Print started article with issue of Rural distress, in rest of the article it was critical of government on Farm waivers, MNREAGA, subsides to poor etc. In this whole article-cum-rant they didn’t provide single constructive suggestion to get the ‘change they are seeking’ & just took help of narritives peddled by fake data to shame India.

Even common tweeps with 100 followers make much more sense than Shekhar Gupta & his team of authors

Last week, 13th edition of the ‘Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards’ were presented in New Delhi. When Times group & The Hindu were bowing in front of Indira Gandhi during National Emergency (1975-1977), late Ramnath Goenka and his work during the Emergency was like a lamp in dark times. But for all his work during Censorship, he was harshly penalised by Indira. As soon as censorship was lifted, Goenka’s newspapers published a series of exposés on forced sterilizations, mass resettlements of the extreme poor, widespread corruption, and political arrests. After Ramnath Goenka died in 1991, bitter property dispute broke out among his family members. It caused division between Indian Express & The New Indian Express, where former is run by his grandson Vivek Goenka.

Anyway, crux of the story is, present form of Indian Express is completely different from the one which was run by legendary Ramnath Goenka. In recent times their credibility has reached rock bottom due to offering open support to terrorists ( ‘And they hanged Yakub’), hiring abusive Congress trolls like Amaresh Mishra, writing other misleading headlines to help Chinese propaganda & spreading various fake news. So, it was too much to expect from them to present awards to journalists who are doing actual journalism. We will see major winners of present year’s award & expose their shoddy Journalism :

1) In HINDI category, Abhisar Sharma, ABP News: For driving home the horror of Encephalitis in East UP

SwarajyaMag’s Swati Goel Sharma had done detailed report on same issue. In her marathon report, she put facts & numbers showing drastic drop in fatality rate. In 2017, 18.62 per cent JE (Japanese encephalitis ) patients died compared to 28.91 per cent in 2016, fatality rate of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) saw the sharpest drop in five years. Compared to the previous year when 15 per cent failed to survive, 2017 saw a significant improvement with 12.6 per cent.

https://swarajyamag.com/ideas/this-is-what-yogi-adityanaths-government-is-doing-to-fight-the-encephalitis-scourge

Now, Abhisar Sharma got the award for report on exact same topic, just because his report was showing Yogi government in bad light via his usual hate mongering. Whereas Swati’s report was never going to be considered because it was showing improved data. Actually in her report, she had narrated the efforts by previous Governments also. Eg. the first-ever vaccination drive was organised in 2005 after the Mulayam Singh Yadav-led government came under fire for the region’s worst outbreak – killing 1,344 out of 5,737 affected children. She also put fact that in 2011 Central Government run by UPA had made JE vaccine a part of its universal immunisation programme after enough states complained of the epidemic. Only thing was, implementation on ground was poor & Yogi government learned from their mistakes and brought the results in short time.

But, Indian Express group doesn’t want to consider someone for award who has done even mild praise of Yogi Government in her detailed & studied report which had covered incidents in this issue from 1978.

Abhisar Sharma has past history of spreading fake news. His own employer, The Wire, deleted video of his embarrassing ‘investigation’ into the Amritsar Train Tragedy. He & his Income-Tax officer wife have been also accused of taking bribes from NDTV. He is also notoriously unfamous for abusing private persons on Twitter.

2) Next Award was FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT COVERING INDIA : Annie Gowen, The Washington Post: For her report on the life of a teenaged pellet victim, a cricketer, in Kashmir

Story for which Annie Gowen won the award, is out & out pro-seperatist propaganda. In her story she has repeatedly mentioned how pellet gun ‘victims’ are inspiring youth in valley to join Terrorist forces. This was aligned with Indian Express’ pro-seperatist stand, so it isn’t much surprising she got award for this story.

Annie Gowen has clear anti-Hindu bias & racism reflected from her following tweet against Angry Hanuman Poster

She was also caught inciting Hindu-Muslim division, by using fake data tracker of IndiaSpend.

3) POLITICAL REPORTING

Sushant Kumar Singh, The Indian Express: For his inside reports on strategic affairs, including the Doklam crisis

Indian Express deputy editor Sushant Singh was forerunner in (along with Shekhar Gupta’s The Print), in maligning India’s image during Doklam crisis.

The article opens with “In a stunning -but unsubstantiated-claim, a senior Chinese official said today that Bhutan has acknowledged that the Doklam area where the Indian and Chinese troops are engaged in a standoff does not belong to it.”

First, the report itself said that it was ‘stunning but unsubstantiated’ claim. Source of this report has been an unnamed Official. Also, Indian Express headline made it sound as if some “official” from Bhutan had said it, for it said “Bhutan acknowledges…”. But the truth was that it was claimed so by a Chinese official, which most probably was a part of their propaganda based on lies or half-truths.

Following all the outrage and slamming, The Indian Express has finally added the word “Chinese” before official in the article, though it still remains a mystery why they needed to lie. Pakistani Defense officials & Congress spokespersons like Sanjay Jha had shared this story. Also, at that time Rahul Gandhi had done secret meeting with Chinese officials. So, it was evident that Indian Express was helping Congress & even China with their reporting. And they have given Award to themselves for such bogus reporting which had potential to cause harm to India’s interest.

Recently, in his book, Sushant Singh was caught plagiarizing content from old articles of other authors.

4) BUSINESS & ECONOMIC JOURNALISM

Team Reuters, Thomson Reuters: For a series of reports on a secret operation inside a tobacco giant’s campaign to subvert the global anti-smoking treaty

On 11th December, Reuters published a story citing ‘government sources’ that the Narendra Modi government is “likely to announce a loan waiver worth billions of dollars”. It was ‘source’ based story & was later proved fake. It was planted to give cover to Congress’ unrealistic promises of farm waivers. Though, story for which Team Reuters won award is different, point here is Indian Express offering an awards to habitual fake news peddlers, which helps Pakistan, Congress, China etc

Compare all this with, SwarajyaMag or Opindia who have except odd mistake cent percent record of factual & accurate reporting. Even popularity wise, their reporters like Swati_gs & Unsubtledesi are 10-15 times more popular among than likes of Shekhar Gupta, Faye D’souza, Rohini Singh.

Why Ramnath Goenka would be ashamed of seeing winners of the award named after him?

Why Ramnath Goenka would be ashamed of seeing winners of the award named after him?

Anyways, all real Journalists give two hoots to such sham awards. But only tragedy here is such these awards are presented to fake news peddlers on names of eminent personalities like Ram Goenka who devoted his whole life for honest & courageous Journalism.

Lets ask @RahulGandhi why VVIP chopper contract was given to “Italy” based company Agusta and not Indian HAL?

Few of my friends and known peoples were working in HAL Lucknow including one of my friend as Deputy Manager there, before the scam came in light.

Rahul Gandhi has no answer to why VVIP chopper contract wasn’t given to HAL. #Agusta

Rahul Gandhi has no answer to why VVIP chopper contract wasn’t given to HAL. #Agusta

Few times i gave visit to them in HAL premises and they were very happy working with. All of a sudden many of them asked to leave or resign with no choice at the time of #AgustaWestlandScam because UPA Govt. cancelled there contract which were expected to be in the pocket of HAL. List includes the lower level of the pyramid as well as my friend who was Deputy Manager there also lost his job, because Sonia Gandhi and Ahmed Patel took bribery from other company and snatched the contract from HAL. Shocking to me was that he was a hardcore Congressi and NSUI member during our college days.

It was a big shock for him and his family as he preferred HAL on other companies to join and all of sudden asked to leave without any notice.
He went into deep depression. His family contacted us when he started getting su!c!dal thoughts and keep himself locked in his rooms of longer hours and they said that he is on the verge of to end his life.

We gave visit to his house. In a very painful tone he narrated that, whenever i pass that road (HAL is on main road in Indira Nagar, Lucknow), i feel like i lost my life because of UPA governments this decision. We consoled him there.

One another friend working in academics make arrangement for him to get a job in MDI gurgaon on adhoc basis. Years going on but he still unable to recovered from the shock.
Other peoples who also lost their jobs are spending their lives miserably. They are not getting job outside because now there is little more and all of sudden they asked to resign.

Question is why normal peoples always pay the price of dirty politics of politicians like Sonia Gandhi and Ahmed Patel?
Why these people force to commit suicide to others?

Since starting it was known to everyone and proved in Italian court that Sonia Gandhi played the main role in this whole scam, why few section of media and peoples are not ready to accept this?
How many peoples su!c!de required to convince them?

Now when even middleman #ChristianMichel names Sonia Gandhi in the court the matter in more clear now.
Congress is a curse for the country, more time it exists more pain we have to bear. My friend lost his job, stressed and not even interested in marriage now because he don’t have job satisfaction and security because of the greed of few Congressi politicians. Sad.

One more time i want to ask @RahulGandhi why VVIP chopper contract was given to “Italy” based company Agusta and not Indian HAL?

And when he is going to raise his voice against his own mother and her secret agent Ahmed Patel.

Rahul Gandhi has no answer to why VVIP chopper contract wasn’t given to HAL. #Agusta~@iamnot_Immortal
