Anyway, crux of the story is, present form of Indian Express is completely different from the one which was run by legendary Ramnath Goenka. In recent times their credibility has reached rock bottom due to offering open support to terrorists ( ‘And they hanged Yakub’), hiring abusive Congress trolls like Amaresh Mishra, writing other misleading headlines to help Chinese propaganda & spreading various fake news. So, it was too much to expect from them to present awards to journalists who are doing actual journalism. We will see major winners of present year’s award & expose their shoddy Journalism :

1) In HINDI category, Abhisar Sharma, ABP News: For driving home the horror of Encephalitis in East UP

SwarajyaMag’s Swati Goel Sharma had done detailed report on same issue. In her marathon report, she put facts & numbers showing drastic drop in fatality rate. In 2017, 18.62 per cent JE (Japanese encephalitis ) patients died compared to 28.91 per cent in 2016, fatality rate of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) saw the sharpest drop in five years. Compared to the previous year when 15 per cent failed to survive, 2017 saw a significant improvement with 12.6 per cent.

Now, Abhisar Sharma got the award for report on exact same topic, just because his report was showing Yogi government in bad light via his usual hate mongering. Whereas Swati’s report was never going to be considered because it was showing improved data. Actually in her report, she had narrated the efforts by previous Governments also. Eg. the first-ever vaccination drive was organised in 2005 after the Mulayam Singh Yadav-led government came under fire for the region’s worst outbreak – killing 1,344 out of 5,737 affected children. She also put fact that in 2011 Central Government run by UPA had made JE vaccine a part of its universal immunisation programme after enough states complained of the epidemic. Only thing was, implementation on ground was poor & Yogi government learned from their mistakes and brought the results in short time.

But, Indian Express group doesn’t want to consider someone for award who has done even mild praise of Yogi Government in her detailed & studied report which had covered incidents in this issue from 1978.

Abhisar Sharma has past history of spreading fake news. His own employer, The Wire, deleted video of his embarrassing ‘investigation’ into the Amritsar Train Tragedy. He & his Income-Tax officer wife have been also accused of taking bribes from NDTV. He is also notoriously unfamous for abusing private persons on Twitter.

2) Next Award was FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT COVERING INDIA : Annie Gowen, The Washington Post: For her report on the life of a teenaged pellet victim, a cricketer, in Kashmir

Story for which Annie Gowen won the award, is out & out pro-seperatist propaganda. In her story she has repeatedly mentioned how pellet gun ‘victims’ are inspiring youth in valley to join Terrorist forces. This was aligned with Indian Express’ pro-seperatist stand, so it isn’t much surprising she got award for this story.

The article opens with “In a stunning -but unsubstantiated-claim, a senior Chinese official said today that Bhutan has acknowledged that the Doklam area where the Indian and Chinese troops are engaged in a standoff does not belong to it.”

First, the report itself said that it was ‘stunning but unsubstantiated’ claim. Source of this report has been an unnamed Official. Also, Indian Express headline made it sound as if some “official” from Bhutan had said it, for it said “Bhutan acknowledges…”. But the truth was that it was claimed so by a Chinese official, which most probably was a part of their propaganda based on lies or half-truths.

Following all the outrage and slamming, The Indian Express has finally added the word “Chinese” before official in the article, though it still remains a mystery why they needed to lie. Pakistani Defense officials & Congress spokespersons like Sanjay Jha had shared this story. Also, at that time Rahul Gandhi had done secret meeting with Chinese officials. So, it was evident that Indian Express was helping Congress & even China with their reporting. And they have given Award to themselves for such bogus reporting which had potential to cause harm to India’s interest.

Recently, in his book, Sushant Singh was caught plagiarizing content from old articles of other authors.

4) BUSINESS & ECONOMIC JOURNALISM

Team Reuters, Thomson Reuters: For a series of reports on a secret operation inside a tobacco giant’s campaign to subvert the global anti-smoking treaty

On 11th December, Reuters published a story citing ‘government sources’ that the Narendra Modi government is “likely to announce a loan waiver worth billions of dollars”. It was ‘source’ based story & was later proved fake. It was planted to give cover to Congress’ unrealistic promises of farm waivers. Though, story for which Team Reuters won award is different, point here is Indian Express offering an awards to habitual fake news peddlers, which helps Pakistan, Congress, China etc

Compare all this with, SwarajyaMag or Opindia who have except odd mistake cent percent record of factual & accurate reporting. Even popularity wise, their reporters like Swati_gs & Unsubtledesi are 10-15 times more popular among than likes of Shekhar Gupta, Faye D’souza, Rohini Singh.

Anyways, all real Journalists give two hoots to such sham awards. But only tragedy here is such these awards are presented to fake news peddlers on names of eminent personalities like Ram Goenka who devoted his whole life for honest & courageous Journalism.

Few of my friends and known peoples were working in HAL Lucknow including one of my friend as Deputy Manager there, before the scam came in light.

Few times i gave visit to them in HAL premises and they were very happy working with. All of a sudden many of them asked to leave or resign with no choice at the time of #AgustaWestlandScam because UPA Govt. cancelled there contract which were expected to be in the pocket of HAL. List includes the lower level of the pyramid as well as my friend who was Deputy Manager there also lost his job, because Sonia Gandhi and Ahmed Patel took bribery from other company and snatched the contract from HAL. Shocking to me was that he was a hardcore Congressi and NSUI member during our college days.

It was a big shock for him and his family as he preferred HAL on other companies to join and all of sudden asked to leave without any notice.
He went into deep depression. His family contacted us when he started getting su!c!dal thoughts and keep himself locked in his rooms of longer hours and they said that he is on the verge of to end his life.

We gave visit to his house. In a very painful tone he narrated that, whenever i pass that road (HAL is on main road in Indira Nagar, Lucknow), i feel like i lost my life because of UPA governments this decision. We consoled him there.

One another friend working in academics make arrangement for him to get a job in MDI gurgaon on adhoc basis. Years going on but he still unable to recovered from the shock.
Other peoples who also lost their jobs are spending their lives miserably. They are not getting job outside because now there is little more and all of sudden they asked to resign.

Question is why normal peoples always pay the price of dirty politics of politicians like Sonia Gandhi and Ahmed Patel?
Why these people force to commit suicide to others?

Since starting it was known to everyone and proved in Italian court that Sonia Gandhi played the main role in this whole scam, why few section of media and peoples are not ready to accept this?
How many peoples su!c!de required to convince them?

Now when even middleman #ChristianMichel names Sonia Gandhi in the court the matter in more clear now.
Congress is a curse for the country, more time it exists more pain we have to bear. My friend lost his job, stressed and not even interested in marriage now because he don’t have job satisfaction and security because of the greed of few Congressi politicians. Sad.

Fast-forward to 2010. First time I had internet on mobile, which made me subscribe to Twitter. ‘Radiagate’ was watershed moment, which no MSM was covering it. It took Right Wing Twitter accounts and their trends like #RadiaGate, #ChorMedia, and #MediaMafia eventually made MSM notice and debate media’s corruption. It also made me realise how deeper is MSM’s anti-Hindu narrative, fake news, biased covering, suppression of news where Hindus are victims and so on. Though Mediacrooks have had very temperamental attitude on Twitter, for common RW netizens like me, its blogs were a good source to understand the issues. In the run-up to LS 2014 elections, there wasn’t any other publication or blog that would feed us the much needed dose of understanding the Right Wing issues. Though websites NitiCentral (which eventually closed down and wasn’t up to the mark) and 5Forty3.in gave blogs, it was entirely for elections-related coverage. In September 2014, Swarajyamag has been re-launched, which has become the main source of inspiration for Right Winger intellectia and masses (especially after present ED R. Jagganathan joined the Magazine), of course, along with Opindia.com (which was launched in December 2014). This was a summary of my (and most probably of other Right Winger’s) struggles to get information and inspiration regarding Right Wing issues. One common thing among all was every Right-leaning publication has been either from vernacular media or some start-up mostly set up by amateurs.

Now, amidst all these struggles, as a reader, to get objective news and options about Hindu/Right Wing causes, I got one pleasant surprise in the last week of September 2016 when ScoopWhoop published a story on plight of Pak-Hindu refugees staying in inhumane conditions Delhi. Till then, ScoopWhoop was seen like a desi version of BuzzFeed for its dumb content. Story was written by some Swati Goel Sharma. In my mind, I really appreciated this lady. Though, later on, she did notable stories like highlighting frequent murders due to seat disputes in trains (amidst background of Junaid Murder and liberals accusing it as a hate crime), narrating other side of ‘Liberal hero’ Dr. Kafeel Khan, Rohingyas in Delhi converting to Christianity to avoid deportations and a story that grabbed the attention of Right Wingers was when in first week of October 2017, she reported the Gurmeher Kaur’s threats to a teen guy, who runs account Squint Neon, over making memes on her.

Later on, she joined Swarajyamag and did numerous reports countering popular liberal narratives right from Kathua Asifa, Kairana, Gorakhpur and a recent counter to IndiaSpend’s data of which are available here. I was really happy with her for taking issues of Right Wing and already started comparing her with Right Wing publications that I followed all over the years.

But then came a little shock. Despite being in Right of centre publications like Swarajyamag and doing lots of reports on Right Wing causes, she refused to identify herself as a ‘Right Winger’

That made me think and analyse with a different perspective and I came into following conclusions:

1) Labelling any fact-based journalist as Right Winger (or even Left Winger) is incorrect:

It’s not only that a journalist might feel upset about it but also many fence sitters or left wingers may not even open the article of someone who has been already labelled as ‘Right Winger’. When Swati does story even on some out-and-out RW issue, she puts only facts. So technically she’s still neutral. Because, you show your biasness only when you start drawing conclusions.

When a journalist does out-and-out fact-based reporting, there’s, actually, everything for every ideological person if one tries to draw conclusions smartly.

For example, Swati reported from the ground that Rohingya are staying in India for economic opportunities and not because they feel threatened in Myanmar or even Bangladesh where they were already staying. Now, Right Wingers latched onto this report and showed how it’s aligned with their narrative that Rohingyas should be sent back.

Now if any liberal was smart, he would have seen it in this way: PM Modi always talk of demographic dividend and how India’s young and growing population can help build country. Now if Rohingyas are staying here for economic opportunities and earn their livelihood honestly by doing hardwork without indulging in any crime, what’s the problem if they stay here and get work permits? (Actually rather than Liberals, Swarajyamag’s ED had endorsed this view.)

It is different thing that rising population is a big issue for India, but what I am saying is that Liberals could use her report ,use PM Modi’s statement and put their narrative as well. In other language, Liberals are also not doing their service to themselves by not reading Swati’s reports and labelling her Right Winger/Bhakt.

Another example can be one of the reports on plight of Gau Rakshaks that she had reported and explained how local BJP leaders just doing leap service and not helping them (Gau Rakshaks) due to which the anger is boiling against BJP leaders. Now, Congress, which has included Gau Raksha in their manifesto, could have used this fact in her report to attack BJP saying how their claim of love for cow is pseudo and how Congress can provide better aid to Gau Rakshaks (Congress killed cow in Kerala and how their sympathy for cow is election-specific is altogether a different thing. But what I am repeating here is that Swati’s report can be used by all ideologies to draw conclusions if one reads them carefully.

Actually, we, as RWs, should be happy if journalists of LW publications also start pure fact-based reporting, for example, going to villages (not just in election time) and expose Modi govt’s schemes if they are not reaching the needy people. Actually, right now, liberal journalists doing exactly opposite (of what Swati does): they put narrative and biases above facts. So their agenda get exposed easily, and in turn, helps Modi government!

What’s more when liberal journalists sitting in their posh AC studios cries death threats whole day and night even after covering sensitive issues in most sensitive and unsafe parts of country? Swati, on the other hand, honestly said that no one had ever threatened her

One more point here to understand is the difference between a reporter and a columnist. Some RWs comparing the reporter like Swati to other columnist is like comparing Christiano Ronaldo with some FIFA Virtual Gaming champion.

2) Biggest strength of journalists like Swati is not commenting on anything that is beyond their expertise.

– On her Twitter feed, I didn’t find a single tweet where she found commenting on economics, policy matters (especially on topics which she doesn’t cover) and sports. She has limited herself on her specialisation i.e. social issues.

I will say Ashu Muglikar has been an exact mirror image of Swati. He only tweets/writes articles on economics and avoids social issues.

Because they know that if they comment anything other than their area of expertise and that comment goes wrong or called as fake news due to their ignorance, then their opponents will leave no stone unturned to malign their hardwork and reputation in their area of specialisation.

3) Calling some journalist ‘Dumb’ is the best way to rattle them rather than labelling RW/LW or Sanghi/Congressi

Tainted journalists don’t mind if they are get labelled as Presstitute etc, actually it’s a win-win situation for them.

If they are called Congressi/Pidi’: they will proudly show to their side how anti-establishment they are.

If some random LW account, who don’t understand monkey balancing done by such journalists, calls them Sanghi, then they will get a chance to show how neutral they are.

However, if they are proven ‘dumb’, which is easy as most of these liberal journalists are unlike Swati & Muglikar are not self-made , and have been part of journalism & big media house due to nepotism.

They go on commenting on every topic under the Sun, and then for us it becomes very easy to catch their dumbness and their credibility eroded hard way. Nowadays, even liberals don’t take Sagarika Ghose seriously because Right Wing has been successful in proving her epitome of dumbness. Barkha has faced worse of the fate and called not only dumb, but also proven ‘Panauti’. Shekhar Gupta is also called as ‘Duggal Saab’ for falling on his face by commenting on every damn matter. Actually, for the same reason, Arnab Goswami never became popular even among RW and not considered as a credible journalist.

So, here ‘liberal journalists’ also can learn something from Swati and Ashu Muglikar. They should distribute topics/subjects in which they can question Modi government as per their area of interests, earn specialisation on that subject by putting lots of efforts and write/comment only on those topics. If they continue with their current harakiri, they will get embraced with the fate of Barkha, Sagarika, Nidhi, and Shekhar.

Historically it belongs to Orcha Kingdom. Post-independence it has not seen any light of development at all. I lived most of my childhood in Gwalior which is also part of Budelkhand area and I have heard and read a lot about Bundelkhand and its issue.

During 2012 my father, a central government employee, got posted in Lalitpur district, since then I have been regularly visiting that area. It had road connectivity from Jhansi and Lalitpur not to mention that all those roads were built during Vajpayee’s time. All the unfinished parts of the road were still unfinished after two terms of UPA. Most of the people from Tikamgarh area were mostly self-employed or used to travel to Jhansi and surrounding area for work. Agriculture was also not very
profitable due to much dependency on monsoon and quality of soil in the area.

During the run upto 2014 election I was living there and saw much hope from the people of Bundelkhand in Modi. Post-election Bundelkhand was given special attention. All the road work which was pending for over decade resumed. Most of the villages got connected to electricity, which increased the livelihood of the people
and increased the local business.

Tikamgarh and surrounded area are dominated by backward people who were forever dependent on the wood-fire for cooking. Under the Central Government’s Ujjawala Yojna, almost all the villagers were provided with LPG gas for cooking. It empowers women and protect their health. Now women are staying at home for longer chullas. Women are now working at local business and contributing economically. The scheme also providing rural employment to youth in supply chain of LPG.

The Wire, which is a left ideology propaganda website, is facing existential crisis after two of its senior leaders have been alleged of sexual harassment. The Wire in its article tried to belittle such a big scheme but exposed himself of being anti-poor. In an attempt to discredit the govt work, The Wire told its readers that the Ujjwala Scheme has penetrated to the bottom most level of people in terms of economy.

It is very evident how few years back news of farmer suicide from Budelkhand was very common. But this has changed rapidly and such news are very rare now. Slowly the area is heading towards betterment with better road connectivity, improving irrigation by Betwa river and new mines coming up in area. I recently visited the area and changes were very clear on the grounds.

Earlier there was no bus service after 5pm from Jhansi, but now the bus services are available throughout the day.

The Law and Order has improved. Large number of commercial vehicle on the roads were clear sign of changing things. PM has also announced a Rs20,000 Crore defence corridor in Bundelkhand. Also, UP
government has planned to extend Yamuna Express way till Bundelkhand to attract tourism.

A woman perhaps feels a sense of ‘God-like’ accomplishment by presenting another human with a potential of conquering the world and enriching it, surpassing the glory of Roman and Greek or Syracuse Empire. But, a pregnant lady, a new mother or a dreamy girl with a desire to present an Adonis to the parched Earth, should understand that the world also offers brilliant constraints. It’s a wild dream crossing those hurdles albeit not insurmountable.

However, a polite request:

1. When you travel using a public transport mode, do not look at fellow passengers with that peculiar desolate gaze for a seat. Wipe that smug smirk. Sorry.

I am not relinquishing that hard-earned seat for you. Having paid my fair share of the travel fare, it’s only fair it’s my throne. It’s more precious than Raja Vikramaditya ’s throne with bedecked precious stones and 32 dancing dolls. It’s my seat for the next few hours in wispy clouds.

In flight, make sure your kid doesn’t throw tantrums and weep uncontrollably. It’s not adorable for strangers. It’s nerve-wracking, especially if others are traveling on work. Your Greek God can ride that steely black steed in your home courtyard.

2. Your kids have natural blush, blue eyes and golden hair and they deserve a laurel wreath and crown as best looking babies. He or she is certainly reincarnation of Gregory Peck or Ava Gardner.

But we do not have the superpower to get an Anushka for him.

Here he starts explaining about NJAC. He says that Law Minister is a political person and I agree with it. Then he says 2 members will be appointed by PM, CJI and Leader of Opposition. What does this mean? This means that other 2 members will be appointed by a committee of 3 people. Now I don’t know if Mr. Rathee’s brain is filled with AK’s shit or his brain is in his knees because he says 1 member will be appointed by PM and 1 by Leader of Opposition (Nowhere he mentions committee of 3) and hence they are politically influenced person. Are his understanding and comprehension skills this low?

Time: 6:30 – 9:15

He talks about SC Collegium recommending 2 names for appointment to SC. Justice KM Joseph and Indu Malhotra. He says there was no official reason given by the government for not clearing Justice KM Joseph’s name. But the truth is that Law Minister sent a 6 page letter stating various reasons for not clearing the aforementioned Justice’s name. And the self proclaimed gyaani Dhruv Rathee says that the reason is that he was Uttarakhand’s CJI and he termed the president’s rule unconstitutional, illegal and cancelled the decision.
He says that such a thing is happening first time when government is selective in not clearing names recommended by collegium. But the fact is that this has happened multiple times before. He also doesn’t mention that whatever the government did was well within their rights which was also mentioned by the SC in a decision on a PIL the same day(which he conveniently forgot to add to the video).

He talks about how CJI Dipak Mishra is a BJP man because he didn’t initiate an investigation into Justice Loya case. His proof? Reports of media and an article in Caravan Magazine. Maybe Dhruv Rathee should go and watch Jolly LLB in which Judge Tripathy says that the court doesn’t consider news articles as proof the same way Dhruv Rathee doesn’t consider Justice Loya’s colleague’s statements as proof.
He talks about impeachment motion brought by Congress against the CJI and says “Ex-BJP man” Vice President Venkaiah Naidu rejected it but forgets to mention the reasons given by him.

Time: 10:45 – 11:02

Here he starts begging for money and then tells the biggest lie which he repeats in all of his video. That is, “No political party supports me.”

Now we all know how expensive a foreign education is but lying to get funding from political parties is not a good way. Dhruv Rathee should instead work hard and obtain an scholarship.
