Three days ago, leftist propaganda site The Wire had asked 15 Questions to PM Modi. HMP News is enough to answer The Wire’s all of 15 questions on behalf of Modi, with help of some common tweeps on Twitter.
The Wire starts opening para with a lie that ‘Modi’s contempt for the press has meant that he has only given exclusive interviews to fawning media representatives – and avoided any real, critical questioning from journalists.’
When the fact is that:
List of Media interaction by PM Modi
2015: PTI, HT, Tribune, ANI, Dainik Jagaran, Time, CNN
2016: India Today, Indian Express, ET, Times Now, Network 18
2018: Swarajya, Zee News, Times Now, ANI, Dainik, Times of India
Here is the List of Questions & answers :
1) Jobless growth
The Wire asks ‘Why does your government continue to cite EPFO data as proof of healthy job growth,..?’
The Wire is saying Modi govt is calculating people “rejoining” EPF as new job creation and they cite 2 months data off 12 to substantiate.
Assuming 33% are such cases, then doesn’t it still mean 67% are new formal jobs.
Earlier ‘Liberal’ Economists used to say the only formation of formal jobs is job creation and now they are saying formalization is not job creation.
36.8L new subscribers had enrolled during Apr-Nov 17 and extrapolating it, 55.2L new subscribers were enrolled in 17-18
Positive news for the day.
Modi sarkar adds about 35 lac FORMAL jobs during the period Sept 2017-july 2018.
This is based on the assumption by SBI Chief economist who says 15-20% could be formalization of existing jobs and rest new jobs.

Formal jobs jobs and more jobs…
📢9.51 lakh in July
📢61,81,943 jobs were created during September 2017 to July 2018 period
— Ashu🇮🇳 (@muglikar_) September 21, 2018
2) Rural distress
The Wire asks ‘Your promise to double farm incomes by 2022 is also completely off target’
In past 5 Years, Rural India Outpaced Urban spending by the widest margin.
According to the report, based on the findings made by market research firm Nielsen, consumption in rural areas grew 9.7 percent in the last fiscal year. In comparison, urban spending grew by 8.6 percent. Rural spending had outpaced urban growth last year by less than half a percentage point.
According to the firm’s data, sales of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) grew at 13.5 percent, the fastest pace in three years, in the last fiscal. This is good news for the FMCG industry as revenue from rural areas forms 40 to 50 percent of the total.
According to analysts, rural revenue for the FMCG industry is likely to grow by 15 to 16 percent in the current fiscal year. Growth from urban areas, however, is expected to remain steady, an expert said.
Even recent election results showed that BJP performed better in Rural areas.
3) Fiscal matters
The Wire accused NDA of fiddling with numbers to show the strong fiscal position
To start with, NDA had to repay the Oil bills worth rupees 2 lakhs crore left by UPA.
The CAD (% of GDP) Aug-Sep ’13 was at 4.8% vs today it is 2.4%.
The fiscal deficit was at 4.9% vs today it is at 3.5%.
GDP growth % was at 4.4 vs today it is 8.1 (Aug-Sep 13 VS Aug-Sep 18).
⚡exports grow at 19.21% to $27.84 billion in August
⚡ imports, rose at 25.41% to $45.24 billion
⚡ trade deficit for the month at $17.4 billion.
⚡April-August of the current fiscal, exports grew at 16.13%,
⚡imports grew at 17.34%.
— Ashu🇮🇳 (@muglikar_) September 13, 2018
This thread explains in details of efforts put by Modi govt to correct mis-governance while handling fiscal policies
Main Points: Scheme Introduced in 2013
Scheme shut by Modi govt within 6 months of coming to power
Reason to bring scheme: Fiscal deficit was widening hence put curbs on import
Meaning of 80:20 you import X.. 80% can be sold in domestic market. 20 has to be exported
— Ashu🇮🇳 (@muglikar_) March 7, 2018
4) Bank defaulters and defrauders
The Wire asks a list of action taken against defaulters by Modi government
As of today, 9 out of 12 major NPA cases are on the brink of resolution.
Positive news for the day.
PSBs recovered Rs 36,551 cr during 1st quarter of 2018-19
Total recoveries of Rs 74,562 cr in 2017-18.
Cash recovery targets for PSBs for 2018-19: Rs. 1,81,034 cr.
Under IBC: 1.1 lac cr.
NPAs decline by Rs 21k cr during quarter Jun '18 over Mar'18
— Ashu🇮🇳 (@muglikar_) October 1, 2018
In summary: NPA by Congress: 9 lac cr.
Recovery by Modi: 4 lac cr. No corporate got a waiver. Write off is only for clean books.
Not only that, PM Modi’s pet scheme Mudra Loan have hardly 2.3 % of NPA.
The Wire asks, ‘So what did demonetization achieve and was the cost worth it?’
‘Gareebon ka Economist’ Ashu Muglikar has proved enough times busting all rumors regarding Demonetisation.
From tax to GDP Ratio of 5.47% and personal income tax buoyancy factor (PIBF) 0.80 in FY 2015-16, our country has achieved a Tax to GDP ratio of 5.98% and a PIBF of 2.20 in FY 2017-18. Direct Tax to GDP ratio has shown an increase, but the biggest growth is seen in the buoyancy Factors. Buoyancy Factor is defined as the growth of tax in relation to growth in GDP. Higher buoyancy factor shows tax collection is growing at a larger rate than GDP.
Demonetisation was an important step in building a culture where tax compliance is a habit. Demonetization and GST are heralding the New India. Also, all Congress state governments are opposing contrary to Rahul Gandhi’s promise of bringing single slab for GST.
6) Misuse of CBI
Wire questions why Lalu and Chidambaram were probed but Amit Shah wasn’t by CBI on an alleged Murder case.
To start with, the case on Lalu was going on from the 1990s on fodder scam. Chidambaram and his son are able to get multiple bails despite strong evidences against them. Also, The Wire has failed to mention which ‘Murder case’ they are talking about while taking the name of Amit Shah. Actually, recently (a week ago or so) all the accused in Soharabuddin Murder case got clean chit via Court.
The Wire conveniently forgetting how it was rebuked by the Supreme Court for revealing secret details of CBI cases to the public.
7) The Hate Factor
The Wire complains that intolerance & hate is rising in India
Of course, it was going to be a favorite topic of The Wire as they are now short of new tricks spreading hate in society, so trying some innovation here.
But, this point has been easily countered by Swati Goel Sharma by exposing faulty & biased Indiaspend’s ‘hate spread tracker’ (tracker which has been kept as a base by The Wire while alleging rising hate in India in today’s time). Indiaspend’s hate tracker is tailor-made to show Muslims as overwhelmingly the victims and Hindus overwhelmingly as the perpetrators.
I hv been asked to respond to @FactCheckIndia's "response" to my report. Fact is, they only gave reasons for not picking 26/35 cases that I pointed to
Anyway, here's a thread on their 'response' & how they alter their definition of hate crime when victim's religion isnt suitable https://t.co/inRtd3jJ4S

8) The Rafale mystery
The Wire accuses Government hasn’t come clean on Rafale deal
Rafale case has been done & dusted after Supreme Court verdict. Among all people, even Liberal Ringleader Shekhar Gupta has spoken how it was never a scam.
SC order on Rafale is a lesson to Congress. There’re perils in buying into mythologies & folklore and calling every Defence deal a scam. It sung just a loss of face. It’s a kick in the butt. And well-deserved.

9) Babri and Ayodhya
The Wire questioned whether BJP will wait for and accept the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Ayodhya issue.
BJP President Amit Shah in recent interview answered ‘Yes’ to both of these questions.
— scroll.in (@scroll_in) December 20, 2018
Now see how The Wire hid this fact in the headline:
— The Wire (@thewire_in) December 20, 2018
10) Kashmir impasse
The Wire writes, ‘Most experts say that the Kashmir Valley has never felt as alienated as it has in recent years’.
Record number of terrorists have been killed in Kashmir in the last 4 years. Only people who feel alienated in Kashmir are terrorists & their sympathizers.
Even common Kashmiri Muslims have countered The Wire’s propaganda with facts
Stop peddling lies & misinformation!!
Let me correct u @cjwerleman:
👉Total 259 terrorists hv been killed.
👉95 soldiers martyred.
👉Total 107 civilians lost their lives in terrorist & separatist violence & 50 have been killed in stone pelting incidents.#JammuAndKashmir #Kashmir https://t.co/FiheJBS4DG
— Mujaid Alam Bakarwal (@alam_mujaid) December 20, 2018
The Wire also questioned the timing of raising questions over Art 35A. By saying this, The Wire is simply undermining democracy and it is the healthy practice of conducting debates.
11) Negligence Regarding Science
The Wire accuses negligence towards Science
As usual, The Wire used narrative over facts by bringing some BJP leader’s comments supporting GauMutra. Not to forget, the relationship between Science, religion, and Indic-culture has been established for a long time. Indic knowledge system has evolved through millennia, a way of looking at reality, which constantly aims to go beyond the appearances.
#TIL for FY 16-17 and 17-18 dept of science and tech has achieved some good success in patent generation and release. Nice
No of Publication:1300
No of Patents Filed:34
Patents Granted: 14

What’s more, recently 14th November, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched communication satellite GSAT-29 on the Geosynchronous Launch Vehicle (GSLV) Mark-III,
For the first time, Q/V-band payload will be demonstrated, according to NASA, optical communication payload with satellite can increase the rate of data transfer from satellites or far off spacecraft to Earth by 20 times.
12) The war on RTI and Lokpal
The Wire asks PM, ‘While your party claims to promote transparency, your government has proposed multiple amendments in the RTI Act’
SwarajyaMag (whom The Wire had referred to as friendly media) had done a detailed story with an article titled ‘The Good, The Bad and The Worrisome of Draft RTI Rules’
In a press release conducted on 5 April 2017, the Government had already countered some of the misinformation on the proposed amendment.
By the way, even opposition leaders and civil society also have been vocal on the misuse of RTIs for extortions and had called for the need for bringing fairness in some of the sections of RTI.
On Lokpal: Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, who has been invited by PM Modi, had refused to attend meetings. Credit to PM Modi’s government here that it has made a concession and decided to include the largest opposition party in selection panels not just for the Lokpal but also for CBI chief, by changing the law, as there’s no Leader of Opposition in LokSabha right now.
13) The US and Asia
The Wire has criticized Modi government here for failing to take concessions from ‘friendly’ Trump government in the USA.
India is among other 8 countries which has been given exception to import oil from Iran despite otherwise strict sanctions imposed by USA.
India has been successful in isolating Pakistan in the world, as USA & even IMF are refusing to give them further aid. May be this fact itself has been enough to give The Wire stomach ache!
14) Entire Education
The Wire accuses negligence towards ‘Entire Education’
Actually, The Wire is not entirely wrong to raise the question on Modi government’s negligence towards education. Because Leftist thugs like Romila Thapar, Ram Guha, Irfan Habib continue to head CBEC syllabus panels and no efforts were done to change them!
But otherwise New AIIMs, IITs, IIMs have been opened all over India. First time a university is being set up in Ladakh. Scholarships to students (including minority & women) have been increased massively.
Following article gives details of initiatives like PRAGATI, Udaan,
SWAYAM, National E-Library etc ,which are being implemented
15) Language unbecoming
The Wire writes, ‘You recently referred to Sonia Gandhi as a “Congress widow”’.
In first sentence itself, The Wire has lied. PM Modi was referring to fake widow accounts benefited and The Wire assumed that Sonia Gandhi is the widow who got benefited.
Also, Modi himself has been a silent victim of malicious name calling by Opponents & Leftist Media: ‘Neech,’ ‘Chaiwalah’ & not to forget Congress leader Imran Masood’s threat of hacking Modi into pieces.
See, how BJP politicians taking their own sons to police stations for their loose language
Imran Masood threatened to do boti boti of Modi
– Rahul Gandhi gave him ticket, campaigned for him
BJP MLA's son threatened Scindia
– BJP MLA Uma Devi Khatik herself took her son to the police station
Difference between Congress and BJP.
— Ankur Singh (@iAnkurSingh) September 4, 2018
And now see how The Wire’s own journalist Rohini Singh praising Imran Masood despite his past record of giving death threats to PM
Only Saharanpur. Imran Masood gave a pretty good fight even during a polarised wave election. Others, they need SP-BSP support https://t.co/1Y5LozONYl
— Rohini Singh (@rohini_sgh) September 11, 2018
Left ‘intellectia’ has a knack of asking only questions not give practical solutions. Also, questions asked by them actually raises more questions.
1) The Wire has called legal settlement procedures adopted by the government as crony capitalism. But in the same questionnaire, they are complaining about lack of jobs & no incentives to R&D firms. One research says the government must consistently provide tax breaks or write-offs for companies investing in R&D directly or indirectly for promoting Science & Technology and innovation (which The Wire claims lagging in under Modi government).
2) The Wire claims (with false data) that hate/lynching incidents (over cow) are rising in India. But, when the government takes measures to protect cows of poor farmers (so that cow theft and subsequent law & order issue don’t happen), The Wire gives twist how the government is ‘preferring cow over human lives’.
3) In Question regarding Demonetisation, the Wire writes, ‘Your ministers say the money in bank accounts will now be probed by the tax authorities but the income tax department will take years to do this’.
But in another question, The Wire also accuses Modi government of misuse of Institutions like ED, CBI for taking prompt action on tax defaulters & corrupts like Lalu & Chidambaram!
4) The Wire accuses the government (again with false data) of poor fiscal management. But in other question asks why Modi government is not succumbing to (CPI Cadre in the garb of) farmers to give away doles.
5) In the first Question, The Wire admits Growth is there, just that it’s ‘jobless’. But in then next 4-5 questions they try to show ‘Growth’ is eye-wash via their usual data-mongering. Isn’t The Wire contradicting themselves?
In summary, by its questionnaire, The Wire has not only exposed itself but also actually gave us one more opportunity to spread PM Modi’s work.
